I have been doing genealogy ever since I was 20 years old. The man I married had a weird last name. When I asked him about it, he didn't know anything about it or his families background. I said "if I'm going to live with that last name, I've got to know something about it".
A friend took me to my first Genealogical Society meeting, and I was hooked.
I not only traced that name and family back to the French Revaluation, I've been doing genealogy for other people for over 40 years.
That name that was so weird? I lived with it for over 20 years.
It was "Mabie"
I now have "Anita's Ancestry Service" and I enjoy every minute of it.
