Have been doing genealogy for almost 60 years. My father's family is from Browningsville and elsewhere in upper Montgomery County, Maryland, where many families intermarried. My mothers' is from New York, and then farther back, New England. Learning about their lives gives a vivid sense of local history which I want to pass on to my 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

When not going genealogy I am pastor of a small Unite3d Methodist church in Towson, Maryland, and serve as consultant, health care advocacy, with the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society in Washington.
