I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Major General Fitzhugh Lee Camp Number 1805.
direct descendent of 14th GA, Company A Volunteer Pvt. Adoniram J. Williams July 1861- April 9th 1865. He surrendered at Appomattox, VA. with the Army of Northern Virginia. He lost his brother Thomas W. Williams at Chancellorsville on May 3rd. 1863. His cousin Reuben lost his leg at Spotsylvania Courthouse on May 9th 1864. His cousin George died at the breakout at Petersburg on April 3rd, 1865. All fought in Co. A of the 14th GA. Infantry. A.J. and his cousin John W. Williams surrendered with Co. A at Appomattox on April 9th, 1865.
