I have been doing my family genealogy since about 1983 when I first was able to travel to Belgium to meet some of my relatives.

My father's side is Belgian. He is the first born American Generation on my paternal line. Primarily in Michigan but have spread across the globe.

My mother's side is German. Her ancestors have been in the USA since just before the Civil War. Primarily in Missouri and Illinois but several moved to Kansas and Oklahoma and other places across the county.
