I am retired living in the Raleigh, NC area. I grew up in Elbert County, Georgia and I am researching the branches of my family that spread from Virginia and North Carolina south to northeast Georgia, and then to points all over the U.S. I have found this site to be extremely helpful and hope to add information that will be of help to others.

The other items (personal photos, obits and other documents) may have copyright restrictions of which I am unaware, so use your own best judgement on those. I am happy to share with others looking for their families and I welcome information and pictures of the deceased. Why do I have in my care so many more memorials than I've created? While searching through newspapers, census records, etc., I come across many edits that I'm able to make to Find A Grave. Many of the memorials where I add edits have been abandoned and I opt to maintain the memorial.
