Bio

When my parents downsized in 2001, I brought home many boxes of family memorabilia. I had little time to go through them until I retired in 2014. Early in 2015 I began scanning family photos and other documents to share with cousins at a family reunion. Since that time, I have been going through these materials with my father in order to identify individuals and events that are depicted. In the fall, my sister and I visited Henry County, Illinois, to spend time with my last remaining aunt and to visit cemeteries to find the gravestones of long departed ancestors.

The project has been a wonderful way to connect with my father, and I look forward to hearing many more stories as we work on this together.
