I was born in Parramatta,NSW, Australia in 1944, but at an early age my family moved to Lake Macquarie to continue in the dairy industry My youth was spent having many interests in sports and the Lake played a big part. Not only in sport but in hobbies as well, which besides swimming, included sailing. At 24, I married Maree, but then we decided we would travel before we started a family. After 5 years our first was born, a son then 2 years later, nearly to the day a daughter arrived and having one of each we called it quits, that was to be our family. They have both excelled at the paths they chose to follow, both married and have their own families. Needless to say, as parents, we are extremely proud of them all, and satisfied that what we have, or will, leave behind us is what is hoped for in all continuing generations.
