Bio

I was born and grew up in White County, TN but have lived near Harrisburg, PA since 1995. In 2000, I became interested in researching my Haston family's history and began developing www.DanielHaston.com. My immigrant ancestor is Swiss-German (Anabaptist/Mennonite) Heinrich Hiestand who arrived in Philadelphia in 1727 or a bit earlier - settled temporarily in western Lancaster County, PA - then moved to what is now Page County, VA, where he lived until his death in 1779. The main focus on my research is on the youngest son of Henry Hiestand, Daniel Hiestand/Haston and his extensive family. Daniel died in 1826 and is buried in the Big Fork Cemetery of northern Van Buren County, TN.
