Bio

Joy and Jan's father began the work of recording their family genealogy long before the age of the internet. To do so meant making personal connections with family members and asking for their assistance, strengthening a bond.

While the internet is often seen as impersonal, Find-a-Grave members contribute in ways that feel very personal -- helping supply information and images that let people and families feel more connected to ancestors.

The sisters decided to pick up where their father left off - seeking family who came before them. They say, "We lost Daddy far too soon, so we are happy to continue his genealogical work and let our delight reflect what his would be.

Family names include: Harrison, Taylor, Lee, Gaffney, Woodring, Harmon, Bishton, Green.
