Bio

My name is David Baskins and I live in Louisville Ky. the town I was born and raised in. I am married with two kids.
I got started in Ancestry in 2011 and it has become something that I really enjoy. I love history and finally decided that why not learn what I could about my own history.
I like my wife have been raised to pay our respects to those that have came before us by visiting and tending to cemetery plots of family that have passed. This is why my wife and I have taught these values to our children as well. Memorial Day weekend is a great time for our family as we spend the weekend visiting, tending to graves, telling stories and keeping alive the memories of lost loved ones.
Like most people I got started a little late. My grandparents on my moms side (Wardrip)both lived into there 90`s and always told me stories about family but passed in 2010 & 2011.I remember some but not all and can`t always put the pieces together. On my dad`s side (Baskins) my grandfather passed when my dad was little and my grandmother when I was a baby so I have very little to no information on that side of the family. My hope is to someday find and connect with family to this day I don`t even know exist. I know that the Baskins` came to this country from Ireland in the 1700`s to settle in Duncannon Pa. which at one point was called Baskinsville.
If I can be of any help to someone looking for family let me know I will do my best. God Bless and good luck finding family.
