Fallen Graver

Bio

I walk graveyards in the hope of bringing families together in history. I like to believe in the goodness of mankind and hope that our history and heritage should remain accessible to all future descendants through the preservation of beautiful final resting places. What I bring to the computer is a form of immortality for our ancestors and that brings me joy.

I've gotten much better at my photography & now crop all my pictures, so they are closer up, easier to read, and smaller to load (or download). Having completely photographed over 25,000 tombstones in over 100 cemeteries, I only take good high-def pictures of headstones with an 8mp camera. A lot of headstone pictures I take you can zoom in and read details that you literally can't see if you are standing in front of the stone in person! If you want a better picture of a headstone I've taken, I can return and clean the stone - I only do that by request - when I first take a marker's photo, I don't disturb anything.

Living on the Dixie & Taylor County line in Florida, if you need help with anyone buried in Taylor, Dixie, Lafayette or Suwannee Counties I have access to records and will help you find your family information. If you wish to visit a gravestone I have photographed in a large cemetery, I have detailed records to help you find the exact location of the marker. Just send me a message and I will help you out!

My grandfather and now my uncle has taken care of Elmwood Cemetery in East Sumner, Maine for almost 100 years - we've all dug a few graves - literally! If you need assistance with anyone buried in Elmwood, I can help you with burial records.

If you wish to manage a memorial I have added, simply ask and I will transfer it. I use the info from the gravestone on my memorials, so if you see an error, please let me know and provide maybe where you got YOUR info.

Generally edits are processed same day as I receive them. If you are putting a family together from a cemetery near me, I will help you.

Sorry, but I don't create or link to memorials with "burial unknown". I understand someone wanting to create a memorial here for someone when they don't know where they are buried, but this is FIND-A-GRAVE. If you didn't find their grave, well, you didn't find their grave; you understand my point?

Thank you all for your contributions to Find-A-Grave!!!
