Bio

I'm an ABNEY by birth and by marriage. I have been researching my own ABNEY family history for 20/plus years and have recently begun researching my husband's (different) ABNEY line.

Our individual Kentucky and Indiana ABNEY lines go back seven generations before they meet in South Carolina and ultimately Virginia.I also research the maternal lines of each of our ancestors.

We love to visit cemeteries and hunt down grave markers in Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. I've been to cemeteries all over the world.

Mine: Abney, Barnett, Burdette, McGuire, Mullins, Coffee, Owens, Graves, Anglin (all primarily Rockcastle County KY)

Bates, Maynard, Wooley, Evans, Queen, Timberman, Brannon (Butler County, OH, Lawrence Co. Kentucky, Wayne WV)

His: Abney, Capps, Coleman, Turner, Baise, Griffith, Russell, Bentley (primarily Cumberland County KY)

Summers, Cavender, Pauley, McYoung, Taylor, Monk, Hively (primarily Kanawah and Roane counties WV)
