Bio

My first job out of college (1987!) was working with the Genealogy Librarian at Gadsden Public Library. I was tasked with digitizing a mountain of scrapbooks full of an old newspaper column that had run in our local paper The Gadsden Times during the 1950s called "50 Years Ago in Gadsden." I learned a great deal about the town I grew up in and I fell in love with the past. I spent all summer making those columns a searchable database. Come August I had a new job as a Librarian that I stayed with for the next 10 years. I am sure the task was finished. It could be completed in a day now by scanning. I now live in Shelby Co. AL and am continuing my search for those that came before. I am searching the Davis, Mattox, Coker, Cook, Chastain, Parton, Siniard lines plus others that lead me on. Let me know if I can be of help! The Past Never Gets Old!
