I was born in Morehead, KY. I am currently (2023) working to link together on Find A Grave my wife's ancestors from the Schooley and Myers sides of the family using a booklet of Schooley history compiled by Clarence Alvin Schooley (now deceased). During Jan-Feb 2015, I entered numerous names to Elam cemeteries in Morgan County, KY from data compiled by my cousin Robert L. Elam (now deceased). My parents are Joe and Virginia Bayless of Oblong, IL. I grew up in Oblong and graduated from Oblong High School. I received Bachelor and Master degrees in Geology from Indiana State University. I have been a cartographer and intelligence analyst for the DoD for 31 years in the St. Louis, MO area. I was also a part-time Earth Science instructor at Southwestern Illinois College on weekends from 1992 to 1998. Hobbies include vexillology, WWII patch collecting, and waving flags at ESPN College GameDay shows during the football season.
