I grew up in the latter county and in Clay and Union counties in South Dakota. BS and MA degrees from the University of South Dakota.

Have been doing genealogy for about 30 years, most intensely in Scandinavia. In recent years, I've developed an interest in reconciling my paper trail genealogy with DNA matches. My native language is English, but I can read genealogy records in Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish.
