I was born in Pasadena, Ca., @ St Luke's hospital (by Dr Tully) to Bette (Davis), & James Thompson, with 2 older sublings, Fred & Virginia/Gini. withIn 1965, we relocated from Azusa, Ca., to the High Desert/Apple Valley, 1965. Back then, our area, was very small, consisting of a few ranches, an animal shelter, & my elementery school, Rancho Verde. A few miles east, we had the 'Village', off of Hwy 18. We would ride our horses there, tieing them to the 'hitching post', @ Weldys market. I loved showing off my snakes & trantulas, to Hazel, the checker @ the market. I loved that lady!!
We started our 'Ranch', with our 1st horse, Brownie. Over time, we ended up, with about 14 horses, goats, chickens, calfs, & 1 pig. The story of the pig, is a sore subject with me, to this day, &, would give my dad the 'guilts'😢
We have stayed, moving here, & there, but always returning to the desert. My grandparents, Besse & Ham Davis, followed, along with my moms twin, & family, Alice (Davis) Marvin, & my cousins, Sue Lucancic, & Tamara Marvin.
I was married, right before my 16th birthday, & that lasted until (the day) I graduated from high school, @ Apple Valley Sr High. From that time, I had various jobs, untill I went to Chaffey College, in Alta Loma, Ca., majoring in dental assisting, licenced as an RDA, & certified as Xray Tech, Surgical, & other extended functions.
I remarried ,in 1989, to Ray Graham, & having my last son. We have since divorced,& live near to one another. Though our children have grown, we continue to be great friends.
Now, both of my parents are gone, but I have my beautiful boys, Justin & James Kirkey, & my youngest, Jesse Graham, my sister, my brother, & his wife, (my dearest friend) Darcy Thompson.
I have made Hesperia my home, & although (I feel) it is over populated, I still love the 'windy', Valley.🌵
