Bio

Family history has been my passion for over 50 years. While only a hobby, I have traveled to Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky and Rhode Island to research courthouse records. While my publications show my progressive maturity in research, I have a number of works at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. My major studies include: "Teach them thy Sons, Sons", a compilation done for the Vaught Family of Pulaski County, Kentucky and "John Callahan 1831-1901", research done on my immigrant Callahan fore father. The Vaught book is in Salt Lake. The Callahan book is in various libraries to include Indiana State Library in Indianapolis and Trinity College Dublin. Currently, 2008, I am researching family lines in the 1800s and 1700s, bridging the gab between Colonial America and the Nation America. I have also taken an interest in lines that link to the Mayflower and the Virgina Bay Colony.

In the year 2011 I have spent considerable amount of time researching British lines. It appears that both my parents link into ancient Norman families living in all the major counties of England. And yes, Prince William is a cousin. Excitedly, I have learned my Callahan line is related to the Cherokee Nation.
