Bio

I have been involved with genealogy since 1978 extensively researching both my family and my wife's family trees in my spare time. We would often include side trips to cemeteries and libraries with family vacations throughout many areas of the country. I retired from my business in 2009 and now spend time with my grandchildren, freelance genealogy research for friends and family and researching information on missing servicemen from WWII. I have decided not to use a personal photo alongside my bio. Instead, I use a logo designed by my son. If you look close enough, it incorporates the letter "S" and the numeral "8" and honors his grandmother by displaying her initial and number of her children.

As is true with other Find A Grave members, the work I do is done on a voluntary basis and on my own time. I get no monetary compensation. What I do get, other than a thank you reply, is knowing that I've helped someone else put another piece into their own family tree puzzle. As my public name suggests, I try to do the best job that I can, but have been known to make a mistake here and there. If a mistake is noted in my work, please let me know because I don't mind making changes or corrections. I will be glad to transfer any memorial that I manage to family members who would like to maintain the site of a loved one. Also, please feel free to use any of my Find A Grave photos for your own personal genealogy works without having to request permission to do so. I only ask that if a photo is used, I be given credit for taking it.
