I am posting information about my family so that the next generation will know about them. I regret that I didn't know more about my family history when I was growing up. My brother Douglas Niven did most of the genealogy work that I have posted here. He was generous in sharing the information and due to his efforts I became interested. Our cousin Suzette Lewellen started this project when she was a teenager and she has been very helpful by sharing information and photos. My mom's cousins JoAnn Morris and Brenda Hoffman shared discoveries, family photos, and family stories.

Our immediate family includes: Niven, Lang, Johnstone, Douglas, Maitland, Anderson, Bland, Turner, Tate, Jackson, Head, McConnell, Leckie, Taliaferro, Beret, Hild, Parody and more.
