Several years ago, I started researching my family tree. Most of the main branches quickly traced back to the 1600s in Virginia, but I was stuck on 2 great grandparents in Lunenburg, VA.
I was considering hiring a professional genealogist to help find information when a leaf came up for my great great grandmother referring to the Find A Grave website. It led me to a previously unknown family cemetery where she was buried along with my great great grand uncles and great great grandaunts. (They were the only graves there.) I resolved to try and help others in the same way she had helped me.
