I started doing this because I thought Find A Grave helped you to find where someone is buried.

I had a brother who passed before I was born when he was only 2. Our older brother knew I was getting into our family history and he asked me to find where he was. Chuck was 4 when James passed thankfully someone (I wish I could remember who) suggested I get his death certificate. So I did, imagine how happy I was to find out that the cemetery still existed as so many are now abandoned and or destroyed. I called the cemetery and they asked the name and date of birth and death. Then they gave me the location of his grave I couldn't believe it I cried and yelled I found him. You see James died in 1931 and was lost to all of us and now he was found. When my older brother's went to his grave they found there was no marker so they ordered one immediately and now his grave is marked and we all know where he is.

So I am now researching on my father's side Seymour, Seymore, Becker, Buchanan and Miller. On my mother's side it's Jordan, Tillotson, Ames, Starkey and Canfield.

Any photo I have taken may be used for family trees and or genealogy website. I do this to help those who can not get to the grave of a loved one. Keep those requests coming.

If I have made or am the keeper of a memorial of your family member let me know and I will transfer the memorial to you if you wish. I am not about keeping them just to have the numbers as some would say. I add them so they won't be forgotten. I have been fortunate enough to have found someone to take over the memorials I am caring for.

I would also like to thank all of the other volunteers who walk the cemeteries and add the photos and other information to these memorials. I would also like to thank the ones who I can't send a personal message to because that option is disabled. THANK YOU
