Bio

Welcome to my personal Find-A-Grave page. I have been working on genealogy for about 35 years, off and on. Over those many years, it has tended to be more off than on at times. I have, as I am sure you have also, hit road blocks and brick walls that have caused me to put the research on the shelf for a time. Usually I have done this for my own sanity. Too many late nights researching... Too many times saying "I will just add the people on this last census page" (only to do another..and another...), but I am sure you know that tune too!

I had originally started out tracking and tracing my Carpenter family line. Ironically, this was the one I knew the least about. Subsequently, it has branched out MUCH wider and has gone back MUCH further then I would have dreamed to guess when I first started this "project".

The families I am researching are as follows (and this is NOT an exhaustive list):
Addair, Allen, Babb, Baldassarre, Bartlett, Bird, Brower, Carpenter, Castles, Cordier,Dalmonego, Davis, Flesch, Horter, Jenkins, Kirby, Opper, Parsons, Pearce/Pierce, Reed, Ross, Scherer, Schumann, Stringer, Tucker, and variant spellings of and a longer list of other family names with shorter lists. ;)

The areas of the US I am looking into are : Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, the Indian Territories/Oklahoma as welll as others.

As with you (I hope), the information I post up here is accurate to the best of my ability. I imply no warranty or gaurentee that it IS correct: but I do strive for that.

Hopefully our families will cross and odds are they already have if you are reading this.
