Bio

The Marcel M Delgado Family Legacy: Marcel Medina Delgado has four surviving daughters who live in California. Both parents were from Mexico, they came to the United States for a better way of life. My sisters and I were born, raised and educated in Los Angeles, and today, we continue to live in California…
Our Father was a man who had many interests outside of his Monday thru Friday work career as a Special Effects Technician in the various Major Motion Picture Studios that once were so prevalent throughout Hollywood and its surrounding areas of Los Angeles. His whole life was spent in educating himself in talents that would prove beneficial for the many projects he desired to accomplish. He excelled as a master Carpenter, an Artist of design in or outside of Home. He could draw with a pencil as well as paint with a fine brush like an Artist with his Canvas. A sculpture of wood, he enjoyed whittling small figures us girls would run off and play all day with them. Those fingers would magically transform clumps of molding clay into wonders of anything he wanted it to become. As a young teenager growing up he worked in a factory that made furniture pieces and he became a builder of fine furniture there was very little that Dad could not master. At home the neighbors wanted him to elaborate on their homes or fix their plumbing even installing new plumbing under our house. Dad had lots of patience. Although, he was always busy both parents found time to devote to their Family often we would drive to the Ocean visit the Observatory at the Griffith Park go to the zoo where we would have picnics at the park ride the Merry Go Round or go to the Movies at the Campus Theatre.
Many times when he was on the telephone you could always catch him with pencil in hand doodling away all sorts of animated Characters that played in his mind while able to carry on to whom ever with his conversation. Dad enjoyed talking to people at the same time they enjoyed talking to him while watching him work on his new projects. I could try and fill a novel on his many talents perhaps another time. Today, we remain forever devoted to our parents memories and continue to celebrate the loving memory of them both…
