I was born in Philadelphia, PA, and I've also lived in Atlantic City, and Roswell for a short time. But, for most of my life I've lived in Colorado (Cortez, Greeley, & Colorado Springs).

In my early years, I sold newspapers, cleaned floors & windows at a book store, and flipped burgers at Harry's Drive-In. My career, centered around 32 years of teaching, and after retiring, I traveled and worked another 16 years as the owner of a home-based cruise travel agency.

I've been married for 49 years to my wonderful wife, and we have a son and daughter who are both married.

In my early school years, I had little interest in history classes. But, coming from a large family (7 children), and having lost a brother in Vietnam, I've developed a strong interest in our family ancestry and helping the veterans who served our country.
