Bio

I've been doing genealogy research for about 20 years. To date research has mostly been centered around New York and North Carolina. I recently started researching German and Polish ancestors.

Findagrave has been an amazing resource for me and I hope you find the same to be true. I am thankful to all the amazing volunteers that have taken pictures of my family graves and I am excited to be a picture volunteer now as well.

Cemeteries are amazing places. All unique places with stories to tell. I find myself always comparing them to cemeteries in Germany. I have found German cemeteries and graves to be meticulously maintained and frequently visited by family and friends. However, graves are not kept forever, but instead removed after a predetermined amount of time. I am not sure if all German cemeteries follow this practice or just in my region of the country. This certainly makes looking at old graves a bit harder! But luckily they have amazingly detailed town records to make up for it!!

You are welcome to use my photos for any noncommercial use (ie post on your ancestry.com or other genealogy site tree- public or private).
