Bio

I have been interested in my families genealogy for over 50 years. I would ask my Mother, as well as her Sisters, Brother, and Cousins about our "famiglia italiana". For my Polish side I would sit with my Father and Jaja [Grandfather] asking questions talking about our "polska rodzina" (family).
I have traveled to Poland and Italy to visit my cousins to visit and expand the family graphic tree.

Saint Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell, PA was founded by the Polish parish of St Mary of Czestochowa, New Kensington, PA. in 1927.
Currently I am working on making sure the Veterans buried at Saint Mary Cemtery are in our Veteran database.
Past Project were Work on the oldest section (F) of Saint Mary Cemetery,
2. creating deailed maps of the Cemetery.
3. focusing on the oldest and most difficult to read gravestones, unmarked graves, US Veterans and Polish Veterans. The "AMERYKI" (American) Veterans of the Volunteer Polish Army in World War I, that fought in France then traveled to Poland to fight for its independence. Many WW I Polish American veterans have AMERYKI flag holders that were proved by Polish American Veteran Association (PAVA). The flag holder have a place for the United States Flag and the Polish Flag.

Findagrave.com is a great tool for searching, storing, organizing family data and honoring our ancestors.
