An addicted family tree hugger of 15 years, I live with my husband of 61 years on the beautiful Rappahannock River in Virginia.
My paternal heritage centers in Tangipahoa Parish Louisiana: WAINWIRGHT, JOHNSON, DUNNINGTON, LANIER, ARBUTHNOT,JOINER etc.
My maternal family center around north Georgia and Alabama: GAINES,RICHARDSON,ALEXANDER, TALIAFERRO,PACE,BATES,DOYAL, CHEEK, MOORE, etc.
Back in the early 1600's one of my maternal ancestors and one of my paternal ancestors were a committee of 2 sent to Governor Berkeley of Virginia to plead their case during Bacon's Rebellion. Genealogy is full of unexpected connections!
I also search my husband's ancestry: PARK, SEALY, SETTLE/SUTTLE, OLIVER, SMITH, LEGG, MARSHALL etc.
