Bio

I began researching family histories in January 2012 and discovered the Find a Grave website in the spring. Nine years later, my focus has become identifying, linking, and adding bio information to family memorials.

I enjoy genealogy and can spend hours in a cemetery or online – looking for “clues”. As a retired teacher, I find myself sharing my “love” of history and family with my children and grandchildren. All six of my grandkids have spent time exploring cemeteries with me. My son (Jamie Uhrlaub) is now assisting me with the management of family memorials.
The families we are researching include: Howe – Uhrlaub – Arkell - Osborne – Herget – Tibbals – Cassel – Farnsworth – Korth – Thewke – Bennett – Dell’Angelo…the list keeps growing.

I love this site! I have met cousins and made many new friends. Contributors and Find a Grave Staff with whom I’ve communicated have been wonderful collaborators – willing to share information, take photos, make memorial corrections, add links and/or transfer memorials.

You are welcome to copy and use any of our posted memorial photos for genealogy purposes. We try to be as accurate as possible – generally requiring 2 sources before we enter bio information. But, errors do occur – if you find a mistake, please contact us.
