I got more interested in genealogy once I learned that our family name came from a place in Scotland where our family once lived. A castle once stood on that site, but it's been gone for a long time. I've been to Scotland twice with my family and visited the castle site and the nearby town and toured other parts of Scotland. What beautiful country! I hadn't realized that landscape could contain so many different shades of green.

Our family goes to all the Scottish Highland games we can. It is a wonderful opportunity to visit with friends old and new; to enjoy some great music, great food and have some great fun.
