My Paternal surname is "Chiofalo".
Most confirmed spelling variations are Chiofolo, Chiafalo, Chiafala, Chifalo, Chiafolo, Ciofalo and Ciofolo both in Italy and the United States. The name "Ciofalo" is distinctive and originates from Palermo.

Our family lineage begins from Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, the providence of Messina, Sicily (1500-1600). Those born from (1700-1800) were born in the providence of Trapani, especially in Partanna, Salemi, as well as adjacent towns: Castelvetrano, Marsala, Mazara del Vallo, Santa Ninfa, and Vita. "Grillo" is my Maternal side.

Any living descendants are welcomed to contact me to add to our legacy.

As a way of paying it forward, I have created other family memorials via research which have no relation to my family, especially from cemeteries that make it difficult for us to obtain their burial place.
