I strongly encourage a person to write a history of their family.Start with self and family; then Mother/Father, Grandparents etc. For each family set, start with birth/death, list each child born, some memories of family, and, when possible, include a few photos. Suggest placing in binder notebook for safe keeping. Make each history long or short as wish. Be assured this will be treasured by your grandkids to come. (Do not feel rushed in writing histories. Take one at a time. Writing this way can even draw you closer to that generation!)
Family: "To follow in their footsteps; To honor their ways; To speak their names; To be remembered; That alone may be the secret to immortality".
