I have been researching my family for about 3 years now: Pleasants, Brooks, Cocke, Croft, Fitzpatrick, Gochenour, Hildebrand, Hippert, Humphries, Kibler, Merritt, Misner, Puffenberger, Rhodes, Snyder, Stogdale and Swink. My maiden name Pleasants started in Henrico county and my mom's side was mostly from Shenandoah county and later into Augusta County. I've also been researching my husbands family: McGlaughlin, Campbell, Hamilton, Gwin, Hite, Kelly, Puckett, TRuslow, Varner, Wiley. His dads side of the family are mostly from Highland County VA and his mom's side are from Nelson County VA. I have visited quite a few cemeteries in Virginia to photograph ancestors and honor them on find a grave.
