Bio

I was the youngest child of an older father (48 when I was born!). The opportunities for shared activities were rather limited, but we found a mutual love of genealogy. Back when we had to spend hours in libraries looking at microfiche, I was his sharp eyes, and he was my recordkeeper. We made a great team! He would be so delighted with personal computers, the internet and the ability to advance research so quickly through Ancestry.com and FindAGrave!

I grew up going to many funerals and Homecoming picnics in Mississippi where most of my ancestors are buried. I loved the old tombstones. How lovely to see their photographs here.

My major paternal lines are Lewers, Woolfolk, Lea and Henshaw from the Tate County, MS, area. My maternal lines are Hitt, Herring, Davis and Hamilton from the Calhoun County, MS, area. I'd love to hear from any of you!

I live in a small mountain town outside of Denver, CO. If you need pictures, I'll do my best to get them for you. Some of the older mountain cemeteries have unique issues, but I'll do for you what so many others have done for me and help you honor your ancestors.
