I am the oldest daughter of George Morris Mehaffey Sr. and Hattie Bouldin Mehaffey. We moved from Henry County to Richmond, VA when I was 6 weeks old where I was raised along with my brothers and sister. My parents moved back to their home town while I was in my first year at Bluefield. I graduated from Bluefield College (AA) and Radford University (BS) where I majored in music. After granduation I moved to Russell County Va where I taught music in 4 elementary school and met my future husband. We were married in Henry county in 1984 on my parent's anniverary! We have two children, Carrie Elizabeth and John Clifford. In 2006, I received my MAT from Mary Baldwin College and have taught special education in both Augusta and Rockbridge Counties.
Years ago I became interested in researching the family. My dad took over what I had done and ran with it. Now I have excess to his research. Slowly I am putting the information that I have on find a grave.
