Bio

I'm a housewife and student, born and raised in South Florida (and my great-grandparents' house in Alabama), completed my undergrad in Orlando, and fell in love with my now-husband and the culture in New Orleans, LA. I've slowly moved due north and more "Southern" at the same time! I'm a library and book nerd, working on a graduate program. When I'm not buried in a book or family tree, I dedicate my time to our new house, our church, or my paintbrushes!

After losing my mom and most of my elder family members, I realized that I knew very little about my genealogy and family history. I didn't even know what nationalities my ancestors were. I've gotten hooked and can't stop! Now, I'm expanding my research to include my husband's family also. Most of my research surrounds the last names of English, Hatch, Campbell, Potter, Bullen, Loper, Davidson, Dees, Brown, Fortney, Garner, and Sentilles. I have a huge amount of family history in Washington County, Alabama. I've also traced roots back to Scotland, France, and Canada, where I hope to someday visit for some real research (and vacation)!

I'm grateful to this particular database and the users for their contributions. It has made my research worlds easier. I'm more than happy to oblige requests for grave photos or research in the St Tammany, Jefferson, and Orleans parishes of Louisiana! Don't hesitate to ask.
