Calvin Hoover is the son of Jacob Hoover located in Clinton County, Ohio. Jacob Hoover was the brother of my 5th great grandfather. Calvin was the first son who went off to the civil war and died at the Point of Rocks hospital in Virginia of a disease. His stone is located in Gaddis Cemetery which is located outside of Wilmington, Ohio. Although his stone is damage it does not make him any less of an American Hero who died at an early age saving the nation for being broken up, and ending slavery in the south.
