Bio
Ira Wolins was born in Philadelphia and at a very young age, he was always drawing pictures inside an unlined tablet.
In 1993, Wolins enrolled at the Art Institute of Philadelphia for a one-year course in Layout and Production Art. His work earned him a partial merit scholarship and he was recognized as the "Outstanding Achievement" award winner during commencement services.
Wolins now creates custom acrylic paintings called "Geography-On-A-Pole", high fashion chic earrings made from guitar picks and elongated pennies, and draws illustrations for tee-shirt designs.
Besides being creative, Wolins is an avid baseball history buff and regularly donates blood to the American Red Cross.
He is also the great-nephew of WPA artist, Joseph Wolins (1915-1999).
