Bio

I am relatively new to findagrave and genealogy generally, I got started in Fall 2010. At present I am working on nailing down my line of male descent.

To the best of my knowledge, this is my male ancestral line, to the mid/late-19th Century:

Roelof Martense Schenck - Neeltje Gerretse Van Kouwenhoven (Brooklyn, NY)

Garret Roelofse Schenck - Neeltje Coertse Van Voorhees (Brooklyn to Holmdel, Monmouth, NJ)

John Garretse Schenck - Mary Johnson (Holmdel, Monmouth, NJ)

Garret Schenck - Peggy Sutphen (Holmdel to Penn's Neck, Mercer, NJ)

David Schenck - Hannah Grant (Penn's Neck to Trenton, Mercer, NJ)

(Capt.) Garret Schenck - Hannah Bird (Trenton, Mercer, NJ), was Quartermaster of 11th NJ Vol. Reg't. in Civil War

Garret Schenck - Emma Caroline Perkins (Trenton to Massachusetts & Maine)

If you are related to or descended from any of these (ESPECIALLY the last four or five generations listed) I would enjoy meeting you and finding out how we are related! I have amassed a considerable amount of information on the above people, and would be happy to share what I know. If any relatives or ancestors were in the 11th N.J. Vol. Reg't in Civil War, please contact me asap!
