I have been doing genealogy for about 10 years sporatically. The Brooks side of the family came to Texas in 1850's in Titus, Texas from Alabama. They migrated to Hood, Erath and Coleman counties to name a few. My great grandfather was George Washington Brooks. Extended family names are Nevill, Frier. My mother came from the lines of Neel from Texas and McDonald from Mississipi.
