Hello, My name is Marcie. I am single, a mother of 2 children and five grandchildren. I was born in Elberton, Georgia and raised in the south Atlanta area. I have two older sisters, Patty and Toni. My parents were Norman Haney , son of Tandy Haney and Alice Wood, my Mom was Sandra Bowen daughter to James Grady Bowen and Ruth St John Bowen. Both were born and raised in Newton County, Georgia. In 1975 my father became one of the first people to ever recieve an artificial, stainless steel, heart valve. He survived nearly half of his life as a heart patient. In July of 2010 I lost my father to Lung Cancer. My beautiful mother was my very best friend, loneliness is the only word to describe losing her. Mom passed away in 2012. Until now I had only thought losing my parents would be the most difficult thing I would ever have to deal with but I've now learned that losing my parents only prepared me for what was to come. Tuesday, my son was laid to rest. Ryan left behind Chrissy, his beautiful wife and three amazingly precious children, Alexis, Silas, and Brantley. A part of me is empty but Ryan will forever live inside of me. I will miss him very much and think of him daily just as I do my Mom and Dad.
