After teaching in Illinois and Minnesota, I went into the grain business, moved eventually to Spokane, Washington, and started my own company. Years later I sold the company to my kids and retired. I enjoy genealogical research and have received pictures of some of my ancestors' grave markers from other people. It's a pleasure to return the favor.
