Bio

I am researching the Alfred Washington Rankin (1827) line from Davis County Iowa. His father was William Walter "Old Billy" Rankin (1802) who emigrated from Ohio to Illinois to Iowa. And his father was Peter Rankin (1770), who was originally from Loudoun County, Virginia and died in Adams County Ohio. Trying to extend that line further back, but there's very little to go on. I do have a copy of Alfred Washington Rankin's personal genealogical notebook. I'm also looking for all of Alfred Washington Rankin's descendants through his sons 1) Albert "Frank" Francis Rankin, 2) Henry Clay Rankin, 3) Arch Edward Rankin (my great grandfather), and 4) William Walter ("Walter") Rankin, or daughters 1) Emely (Devault / Schiereck), 2) Flora May (Munn), and 3) Jessie Mary (Dunlavey).
