Bio

My family originated in England and I also have Native American roots. My ancestors are BASS, HOOSIER, HOLLIE, STANLEY, ASHWORTH, GOINS, NICHOLS & PERKINS amongst others. The BASS'S landed in Virginia and migrated to North Carolina. John HOOSIER married Jeremiah's daughter, Nancy Charity Bass. John was living in North Carolina near Jeremiah Bass when the boundary line for Tennessee moved. At this point they became citizens of Carter County Tennessee. They followed the Natchez Trace to Natchez Mississippi where they both received land grants. When Jeremiah died, John and Nancy Charity Bass, his wife, pulled up stakes and moved to Louisiana settling in the Neutral Strip. Most of my family stayed in Louisiana, but some moved on into Texas. My BASS and HOOSIER Ancestors are some of the first settlers of Virginia, North Carolina (See Bass's Choice), Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana.

I spend every free moment working on my genealogy and documenting cemeteries. For me it is not just a hobby, but a passion. While traveling on business, I always take the opportunity to locate the nearest cemeteries.

I am not picky about transferring non-family member's memorials. Just contact me and we will see if we can work something out. If you see a memorial that needs correction, feel free to contact me and give me the details, but please remember to BE NICE. If I have taken a photo of one of your ancestors headstones, feel free to use it. That is why I do what I do. You don't have to ask either, I believe that by freely sharing we all benefit.

For those that have photo requests, remember to say thank you to the contributor that fulfills that request. We spend our time and gas going to cemeteries that are not always near. It is always so nice to hear from people that find a loved one that I have been able to create a memorial for.

I recently relocated to Many, Louisiana.
