Bio

Born in 1928, the son of a Methodist minister. Lived in Texas all of my life except for a year each in Illinois, Missouri and Arizona.... a six year plus Veteran in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korean Conflict. Was salesman for such companies as Eastman Kodak, Remington Rand, and Pitney- Bowes.
Avid genealogist since Feb. 1965 with paternal surnames:Boatman; Hull; Faulkner; Grizzle;Laney; Crouch; Ellis.

Maternal surnames: Clark; Daniell; Martin; Patillo; Allen; Maguire; White; David.

Children's surnames: Thompson; Bolin; Nichols; Jackson; Austin; Fambrough; Franks; Tabor; Gilreath; Sarrels....to name a few.

I am father of six (three biological), grandfather of eleven, great-grandfather of thirteen.

I was Historian for the Fambrough Family Society for almost 20 years and a book was published on my findings in 1990 and distributed to members. I was a main contributor to a published book, "The Boatman Family," 1971, by Opal London Cox.
