My husband, Wilbur C. Allen (deceased Feb. 2009) and I have been doing genealogy for over 50 years. My lines include the Wilmore, Fisher, Lowery, Hildreth, Clay, Hardin, Taylor, Grimsley, Waite and Tooke families. Most of them migrated from Virginia to either North Carolina, Kentucky and later to Georgia.
I continue my husband's search and put his findings on both Ancestry.com and Find A Grave. His families include the Allens, Clevengers, Hewletts, Kings, Walkers and Rolands. They too, migrated from Virginia, to Tennessee to Missouri.
