My name is Stan Metts. I have spent several years collecting info on my family tree starting with the four branches my wife and I share. I have gotten all my info freely from Court houses, libraries etc. That is becoming more difficult as commercial organizations are taking over, what used to be public access, for profit. Along the way, I discovered Find-a-Grave and began using it to display the grave info of those family who have passed on. FAG was set up to be a free resource and very few limitations. It is a great site!!! However, it has recently been bought by Ancestry dot com. I can no longer be sure it will remain a free resource because A.com charges for every thing else. If this is ever applied to FAG then I will remove all my info that I can from this site.
