I've been working on family genealogy for the past six or more years. With Mom's passing in early 2004; we found the most incredible journals in her hand writing of genealogy on both our paternal and maternal sides of the family...as well, her life story from very early childhood....what a GIFT!

My most immediate family (my siblings and the children of one Loftis Uncle) is centered in South Central Illinois...with the families of our Dad's other eight siblings being in SW Missouri/Oklahoma/Kansas/and Arkansas. Prior paternal generation being from SW Missouri (more specifically, Ozark County Missouri), and prior generations from Jackson County Tennessee. Maternal side, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri...and later California.
