Bio

I now live in Indiana but was born in Walton County, Georgia.

On my maternal side, family names include Burgess, Elder, Michael, Fambrough, Lowe and Maxey - primarily in Walton, Oconee, Clarke, Oglethorpe and Greene Counties in Georgia. The families arrived in America before the Revolution. I have several books covering those families and am happy to do look-ups.

My parvenu paternal side arrived from Ireland in the 1850s and 1860s, settling in Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey. Surnames include Donnelly, Hughes, Casey, McGarrity and Holleran.

I would be happy to help with research in my local area and exchange information about family connections.

With a very few exceptions, I am happy to transfer any memorial not of my direct family line. The exceptions are a few very close friends or family members with a special connection.

A message including the word "please" will receive a much better reception.

I owe many thanks to the FindAGrave photo volunteers who have so kindly assisted in the compilation of the history of my family lines.

Happy searching and enjoy the chase!

P S If you ask for my help, but have your messages disabled, it is impossible for me to reply. God gave you a brain, please put it to use.

And if you are going to post a long missive on my page, but have your page locked down, please, for all that is holy, tell me WHY you are posting! I am not a mind reader!
