A native Coloradon, born in Denver at Porter's Hospital (Downing at Yale) and raised in Littleton. Attended Littleton Public Schools and University of Colorado. Midway through CU spent time in US Army where was stationed in Korea 1953-1955. Married Freda Ruth Duncan, daughter of Fred and Lelia (Rhea) Duncan. When returned from service and re-enrolled at CU, earned a Degree in Management Accounting. Took a job offer with gas utility in Los Angeles after graduating. When found LA not to be a hospitable climate for family respiratory problems, returned to Denver srea where have been ever since. Am now retired, living with Freda in Broomfield, CO.
