I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley, a beautifully green river valley between the coastal range and the cascade mountains of western Oregon, USA. I am a homeschooled Christian, currently beginning to home educate my pre-school daughter while my toddler and infant chomp at the bit. We (my husband and I) love books, esp by CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and Laura Ingalls Wilder. We are history fanatics and love researching our family's past. It brings history from the status of "good story" to "this really happened" knowing the names of our ancestors who lived it. Even better is to touch, smell, hear and see in color the reality of lives long passed on, by visiting or seeing photos of their final (physical)resting places. "Find a Grave" is a vital and essential project which will be valued for generations to come.
UPDATE: We're still homeschooling, and now have seven children. Our family tree had grown to over 4K entries, but our research focus remains MARTS, NIXON, NAY, JACKSON, KRAMER, BRACKETT, HILLMAN
